I was so excited when the editors at Wellwed said they were in love with our seaside inspiration shoot and wanted to feature it in their next issue! Working with their team is always exciting and such a pleasure. The magazines creatives touches and layouts always seem to add to the images and design of their features. Needless to say I was thrilled!!
This inspiration shoot was a labor of love. We all worked so hard on it and it honestly came together just as we had hoped! These types of shoots are such a wonderful learning experience. Working with new people, new locations, new challenges will only make us better at our craft. Trying new things can't always happen on the job!
You may remember the images from the moody film that Meg Simone created. I shared it here on the blog just after we did the shoot in the Spring. Here it is again for your viewing pleasure!

Camden, Maine Wedding: Private Residence
It was a beautiful day in Camden for the wedding of Catherine and Ben! You may recognize them from my post on their e-session a few weeks ago. Well, their big day finally arrived and it was fantastic!

Maine Engagement Shoot, Ogunquit
Janine and Fred's Nantucket wedding is just around the corner! With the summer slowly fading away we got together on the beautiful coast of Maine for their engagement session. They loved the idea of the rocky coastline for their shoot so we headed to the marginal way walk in Ogunquit. The dark tones and texture of the Maine rocky coast is stunning and a great contrast to the dunes and soft sands of Nantucket. They'll get the best of both worlds!
I am always telling my couples that it's so important to interact with one another during your wedding day or e-session photos. The more playful you are with each other the more natural your smiles will be! Having fun is a big part of what makes a shoot successful.
Janine and Fred were so natural in front of the camera and I can't wait to shoot their Nantucket wedding in just a few short weeks!

Photo Fun Booth is here!
Our Photo Fun Booth is here!
About two weeks ago we launched our Photo Fun Booth at a Cape Cod wedding.... and lets just say it was a BIG hit!
As you can see the Photo Fun Booth can add a little something "extra" to the after-dinner portion of your evening; with fun props and silly faces the photo booth brings all kinds of guests together! It was surprising how creative guests got when in the booth! It was impossible for anyone to walk away without a smile on their face.
The Photo Fun Booth is fully manned by one of our photographers to get the best shots possible AND get your guests rockin and rollin with some fun props (the sailors hat was a definite favorite of the night).
Want to get the booth for your event? Get in touch!

Maine's Tri for a Cure

Sunday morning I woke up on Cape Cod after shooting a wedding the night before and jumped in my car to head straight to Portland, Maine to meet up with some of my college girlfriends. The race was to start at 2:00 and I did not want to miss it! It was the first year I was able to attend the Tri for a Cure and I was so psyched to be able to cheer on some of my friends in the race. This years race was also exceptional because our friend Jen was competing. Last year at this time she was a volunteer at the Tri and had just wrapped up her chemo & radiation treatments for breast cancer.
I have to be honest and say that this race was like no other race I had ever attended. The support, the atmosphere and the energy was overwhelming and I was immediately touched to see such a large community of family and friends there to support the cause. It was a blast to be there and take it all in.
The race is a triathlon of all women competitors and the course is a 1/3 mile swim, 15 mile bike and ends with a 3 mile run. With 1000 racers they raised over $900,000 for the Maine Cancer Foundation!
I am so very proud to call these girls my friends and thrilled to have been able to attend and cheer them on this year. There is NO way you can attend this event and not be touched by the emotion and energy that is present. I was all choked up to see Jen round the corner as she came towards the last bit of the run before the finish line, exhausted but not giving up she ran it out!! We nearly lost our voices cheering them all on in the crowd!! Way to go Katie, Mollie and Jen! You made us so very proud!!!!

They start the racers in waves with all the survivors in the pink caps leading the way.

Jen zoomed by looking super strong on her bike!

Sitting next to Mollie's kids & husband warranted a happy wave as she ran by.

Katie spotted us in the crowd as she approached the finish line. High fives & hugs were abundant!

The support was everywhere you looked.
Cape Cod Wedding, Private Residence
Congratulations to Kerry and Paul! They were married this past Saturday in Harwichport, MA on a perfect summer day on the Cape. I can't wait to share many of the amazing moments from their wedding day, including the launch of our new photo booth (which requires a blog post of it's own). But here are just a couple for now...

Newburyport Engagement Session
I love shooting weddings and portraits in New England! There are some charming towns along the coast and Newburyport is certainly one of them. Ben and Catherine are getting married this month in Camden, Maine another wonderful hot spot on the coast. We wanted to get in an engagement session before the big day (I highly recommend this!) so we took a walk around the downtown area of Newburyport and took advantage of some New England charm!
I love all the texture in the brick buildings, traditional lobster pots and the soft light that filters down all the little side streets. Add a great couple into the mix and you get the recipe for a fantastic engagement session!

Maine Wedding, Greystone Manor
The Maine wedding of Kristin and Paul was truly a weekend celebration. Their guest had the pleasure of all that Maine has to offer for weather with rain, fog, sunshine and a stunning full moon. Their day was filled many amazing moments and I can't wait to share them all here on the blog!
The newlyweds are off on their honeymoon but I wanted to share a taste of their wedding day for all those anxiously awaiting a peek.

Nantucket Wedding, Private Residence
Brandy and Dan's Nantucket wedding had that perfect laid back island feel! With so many nieces and nephews in the wedding we took to the beach for some casual shots with all 10 of the kids. Chaos right? Not at all... just kids doing what they do best, running around on the beach.
Here is a little peek...

Yay! One of my gorgeous Nantucket wedding couples is gracing the pages of this months Destination Weddings & Honeymoons! Nantucket is truly a hot spot for destination weddings and the publication did a great job highlighting the islands sophisticated charm.
This wedding was filled with gorgeous elements created by some of the islands top talents. Decor and flowers by Soiree Floral were highlighted in several of the selected images. Check out the cupcakes by Jodi's Cakes and paper products by Marty Kelly Paper. The bride looked amazing with hair done by Darya Salon and make-up by Lizzy from Beauty by the Sea.
The wedding ceremony took place in town at St. Mary's and the reception was held at the always popular Galley. The event coordination was handled by Nantucket Island Events.
