A Baby Shower!

I am one very lucky girl. I have some of the most amazing girlfriends on the planet. We have celebrated so many wonderful events together over the years ... graduations, birthdays, weddings and now babies! We laugh, we cry and we celebrate... everything, in the most sincere way we that we know. I honestly don't think I would be the person I am today without the love and support this gang of gals has offered to me over the years.

I remember when my dear friend Amber announced to the girls, over one of our frequent gatherings, that she was expecting her first baby. After hugs and even some clapping I remember Carrie paused to remind us what a "moment" this was and how special it was we were together yet again for to share in it.

Amber's baby isn't due for several more weeks but we gathered to celebrate with a traditional baby shower. I had such a blast putting this all together!! I took all sorts of ideas from some of my talented wedding vendor pals and busted out my glue gun and paintbrushes. And I FINALLY found the perfect use for all my vintage table cloths... it was a garden party!!

The Blue Elephant in Saco was kind enough to host the event for us. What a spread they put on!! The staff was so helpful and made us all feel like queens for a day. We dined on frittata, waffles, hot scones and fresh fruit... it was perfect!

We could have sat there chatting for hours... sharing the latest news in each others lives, tips on how to prepare for Amber's pending addition and just enjoying the time we carved out to spend with our friends. It was another perfect day, spent in celebration together!
